The KT Wiz snagged the winning series against a tricky foe to stay in second place.
KT earned a hard-fought, one-run victory over the KIA Tigers on April 24 at Gwangju-Kia Champions Field. It was KT’s second straight win over KIA, following a 4-1 victory the day before.

Second-place KT is two games ahead of NC, which came back from a two-run deficit against Doosan in Changwon earlier in the day to win a dramatic come-from-behind victory with the bases loaded in the bottom of the 11th inning on Park’s RBI double and an error.
Manager Lee Kang-cheol said after the game, “Ko Young-pyo pitched so well for seven innings and gave us the platform to win. Kim Jae-yoon also did a great job of saving the day.”

KT will have a day off on Monday, April 25, before hosting a two-game series against leader LG on April 26-27.
